Machine wash at 30°C.

Velvet trousers can be machine-washed, provided you select a delicate cycle at 30°C with a gentle spin. Use a detergent suitable for delicate fabrics. To protect the material and prevent it from becoming crushed or dull, turn the trousers inside out before washing and, if possible, place them in a laundry bag. Avoid using fabric softener, as it can weigh down the fibers and cause the velvet to lose its characteristic feel.

Caring for the fabric between washes.

To extend the time between washes while keeping your trousers clean, you can spot-clean minor stains. Use a clean cloth or a damp sponge with a little mild soap, then dab gently without rubbing, so as not to flatten the corduroy ribs. Never use bleach or abrasive products.

Brushing and pile maintenance.

Corduroy tends to flatten over time and with friction. Brush it regularly in the direction of the pile using a soft brush (or a special corduroy brush) to restore the definition of the ribs and revive the fabric's appearance.
