How to clean your velvet shorts?

Gentle machine wash.

Velvet shorts can be machine washed, provided you take a few precautions to preserve their texture and color. Wash them at 30°C, inside out, using a delicate cycle and a gentle spin. Use a detergent without bleaching agents and avoid fabric softener, which can weigh down the fibers. To further protect the fabric, you can place the shorts in a laundry net.

Caring for velvet.

Velvet is sensitive to heat and friction. That's why it's important to always wash and dry the shorts inside out. This helps preserve the velvet's slight sheen and soft feel. Avoid tumble drying, direct ironing, and strong stain removers, which could mark or crush the fibers.

Dry flat in the shade.

After washing, dry the shorts flat, always inside out, in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Light can cause the color to fade and dry out the fabric. Once dry, turn them right side out and shake them lightly to restore their volume. By following these simple steps, your velvet shorts will retain their softness, shape, and shine wash after wash.
